This test method allows short test times since the development of cracks in the tested wheel is observed during the test.
The taken measurements are fed into the computer which makes a geometrical calculation. These values show the real value for the regulation of the bending momentum. The deviation of the bending bar is measured by non-touching path monitoring devices.
The increasing deviation is a signal for a beginning crack in the wheel and is therefore used as an important criterion for turning off the test machine.
The taken signals of each path monitoring device are edited by measuring intensifiers and transferred to the computer. The computer adds up the signals geometrically so that these values can be used for controlling the deviation.
4. User Surface
The following specifications are entered via an input menu:
Number of load alternations rated value bending momentum or revolution per minute limit proportional increasing distance (criterion for turning off) maximum revolutions per minute (criterion for turning off ) maximum bending momentum (criterion for turning off ) information about test specimen
All specifications are variable during the phase of testing.
